‘Planting Seeds’ will combine animation and documentary footage
Many people come to learn their first meditation techniques through the work of Vietnamese Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh. But most don’t know his connection to our mainstream western political and philosophical heritage.
In the sixties, Naht Hanh knew and influenced both civil rights icon Martin Luther King and mystic Catholic intellectual Thomas Merton. These legends have left us, but Naht Hanh continues his powerfully simple teaching: his lectures sometimes available on SoundCloud just days after he has given them.
Now there’s a crowd-funded project underway to produce an animated short capable of teaching his ‘mindfulness practice’ to help children and parents increase the peace in their lives.
