Diwali is a five-day festival of light, now with lasers, fairylights and fireworks! Like most autumn faith celebrations, Diwali is our chance to say thanks for what we have, as we go into winter. And I’d like to say thanks to all my followers, friends and family for sticking with me through this year’s highs and lows!
Or more traditionally, if you like, thanks because Rama and Sita have returned from exile to their Indian Camelot. Or that the Pandava brothers have come back from exile in the forest. Or because the evil demon Narakasura is defeated. Or for Jains, thanks because Lord Mahavira attained enlightenment. Or for Sikhs, because the sixth Guru was released from captivity.
I wanted to celebrate with you by sharing a few of these amazing images from the blog of Abhishek Singh, a Mumbai-based graphic designer and comic book artist.
